9ct yellow and rose gold WW1 medal, from the 58th battalion AIF. The medal is 9ct yellow gold for the outer wreath and 9ct rose gold for the inner circle which is a belt to symbolise eternity, loyalty, strength and protection. The belt is inscribed with "The great war". In the middle of the medal is a red and blue colour patch relating to the battalion. The back of he medal has the name C.R.Walker inscribed in the middle and 1914-1919 above it. This medal was made in Australia by Duggin Shappere & co in Melbourne
