Victorian pinchbeck cameo brooch. The cameo is shell carved with a scene from greek mythology called ‘Hebe and the eagle’. Who is the goddess of youth, being cupbearer to Zeus in eagle form. This brooch is made from a material called pinchbeck, it was a mix of copper and zinc made to resemble gold for use in jewellery. Similar look to gold.
